SAVANNAH COLLEGE OF ART AND DESIGN CELEBRATES 40TH ANNIVERSARY
The Savannah College of Art and Design is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary, with president Paula Wallace calling her “bees” back to the hive. Savannah’s famed Forsyth Park was swarming with activity on April 27th for the annual Sidewalk Art Festival and members of our Britto Charette team were there to chat with students and alumni who were busy at work creating temporary art.

For 38 years, the renowned art school has sponsored the sidewalk chalk event for SCAD students, alumni, and local high school students. This year, artists competed for more than $10k in prizes.
Best in Show was awarded to SCAD alum, Chelsie Liberati, for her luminous creation that imitated the style of Vincent Van Gogh.
