A tropical paradise, Star Island beckons from the waters of Biscayne Bay and offers residents incredible views and a luxurious lifestyle.

Britto Charette is proud to be completing the interior design of a new-construction 9500 sqft home on this extraordinary man-made island. Our STAR ISLAND project is a concept-driven design and will feature a custom wall divider by Fornasetti, a monumental staircase in the double-height foyer, and all furnishings, fixtures, lighting, and outdoor furniture.

Our clients are art enthusiasts and we have helped them edit their collection–reinterpreting it to maximize impact and to work in harmony with the interiors. We have also concentrated on the importance of lighting the space, including moving
walls and incorporating the latest lighting technology to achieve the best design result.

After many discussions with our clients, we recognized the need for a design solution regarding the staircase, so we opened the pre-existing closed staircase to bring in additional light and a sense of grandeur. The structure is being reinforced to accommodate those changes. We can’t wait to see the final showstopping result.

We are really excited about this project and are especially happy to be working with Fornasetti to create custom pieces for our clients. Other good news? Before the design has even been completed, it has won an award: an LIV Hospitality Design Award Honorable Mention. Stay tuned to see how we create an interior design that will complement the stunning waterfront location.
