During Salone 2022, Jay Britto, along with 30 other top interior designers and dealers, was invited to visit the Baxter Lago showhouse. Located on the shores of Lake Como, Baxter Lago is a design lover’s dream—a home that has been transformed to showcase the brand’s latest collection, including their first outdoor furniture designs. The organizers of this year’s event included Lucia Schito of Medelhan, Andrea Mugnai of Stella NYC, and Gloria Cazzaniga and Francesca Burla of Baxter.

“Everything was beautiful,” Jay said. “I really love the new collection and the turn that Baxter has made. The new fabrics that they have on some of their pieces is a big plus for their brand since some of our clients don’t like animal products and we can’t always specify for them. This is the very first time in Baxter’s history that they have allowed frames to have fabric.”

“Being able to see the new collection at the showhouse was really special,” said Jay. “It’s a great way for designers to get a feel for how the pieces can work in our own designs. Also, it’s important to really understand the structure and weight of furniture pieces, the fabrics—to have the whole tactile experience. And, of course, the backdrop of beautiful Lake Como made everything that much more incredible.”
