IN-PROGRESS

Bay Harbor House

Take a peek at one of our latest high-end interior design projects. Located in Bay Harbor on the intracoastal, this new-construction family home will provide our clients with more than 6000 square feet of luxurious living space.

The two-story home boasts six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a powder room, a playroom, and open floor plan living in the public areas of the home. One of our favorite aspects of the interior design we’ve created for our clients is the monumental staircase with the integrated handrail; it will be a stunning way to welcome the family and their friends as they enter their new home.

Our wonderful clients came to us asking for a family-friendly design. They also expressed their desire to have us use our signature color palette of softly muted tones. We’ve carried that language throughout the residential design and, when finished, it will convey a sense of sophisticated luxury. To that end, we’re specifying Ondulato and Archipelago marble throughout the home—including in the flooring and in the custom bar; custom millwork; abundant textiles and upholstery; and ceiling designs that have become synonymous with our luxurious interiors.

The great room will be subdivided with a bar at one end and seating for drinks, cards, and table games. At the other end of the room, a formal seating area will feature two Cassina chairs, the Toulouse table by our very own Britto Charette studio, and a sofa from Poliform. We’ve also designed a custom rug for the space and will create a custom ceiling dome.

A formal dining room that is adjacent to the wine room will beckon the family to the table with beautiful Articolo lighting, luxurious furniture, paneled walls, and beautiful stone finishes. But wait! A casual dining room is also on tap for our clients and will feature a table and chairs from a luxury brand, and Articolo lighting.

In the family room, a Supermoon sofa from Minotti and a coffee table designed by our Britto Charette team will have pride of place. We’ve also designed a wall with custom panels that will slide to hide the TV.

Upstairs in the lounge/playroom that will be shared by all upper-floor bedrooms, a kid-friendly modular sofa system will make entertaining easy. We’ve also specified a complex domed ceiling where we’ll incorporate a pop of yellow gold that will be echoed in the art on the walls and the tables. A custom rosette on the ceiling will accommodate a custom pendant light to drop through the two stories. We’re also creating a custom console with bench seating at either end to allow for more entertaining options.

In the primary bedroom suite, we’ve taken advantage of the entire wall, overlapping the windows and creating a continuous headboard with built-in nightstands attached. Gorgeous 3-tier pendant lights with illuminate the stands and bed. We’re also specifying a sofa at the foot of the bed for watching TV or sipping an early-morning coffee.

The interior architecture details will extend to the primary bathroom where our clients will have a spa-like place to retreat. Some of our favorite design elements in this luxurious bathroom include a custom floating cabinet with rounded edges, integrated lighting and storage in the mirror, a cove ceiling for mood lighting, a trough sink with Taj Mahal Quartzite, a soaking tub, and his/her built-in niches in the shower enclosure.

We were asked to do the interiors for this residence. The private clients found us on social media and told us they love the clean and modern look that is synonymous with our Britto Charette brand. They had lots of terrific ideas that they asked our team to enhance.
